"Jury Duty: It's Your Duty"

I want to take a moment to thank you for the privilege of serving as your Jury Coordinator. I also want to point out just how important you are to the court system and the citizens of this great county and state. We live in one of only a few countries in the world where citizens have the constitutional right to a trial by jury. Your presence makes it possible for our courts to provide this right. Please do not take for granted or neglect your responsibility as citizens to ensure this freedom. You play a vital role in ensuring that our freedoms are protected and that justice has the opportunity to be served.

Should your circumstances allow you to serve as a juror, please let me thank you in advance for choosing to come and serve. It is a tremendous sacrifice to take time away from your family, home, job, and other responsibilities to give a week of your time to the court system. You are greatly appreciated when you do so. It is my hope that you will have the opportunity to come and do your part to preserve one of the greatest rights that we have. It is good to know that no person cannot be deprived of their life, liberty, or property without first having their day in court before a jury of their peers. Thank you for your willingness to serve and if I can help you in any way, please let me know.
